The sounds of science!
Kevin Bacon was a curious George when it came to discovering the origins of his beloved pups Lilly and Rocky.
But he couldn’t just ask them where they came from – he doesn’t speak dog!
So, with the help of the internet, he set up a DNA lab in his house which revealed some startling results!
Bacon said:
“We did DNA testing, which is fun and something that just became possible. What you do is swab the cheek of a mutt and you send it in. What comes back is what breeds are in the animal, which is really cool.”
It turns out his dog Lilly is a Labrador, American bulldog and Boston terrier mix. Regarding the other one Rocky, who was found by his daughter, Bacon said:
“The strange thing with my daughter’s dog, it turns out he’s a purebred. A purebred Staffordshire terrier.”
Who would abandon a purebred?!
It is OK though since Rocky ended up with the Bacon family.
We’re sure Rocky is doing plenty of tail wagging these days!
