Comedian Wanda Sykes surprised the organizers of the gay rights rally in Las Vegas on Saturday by not only showing up – she was in town to perform standup – but also coming out publicly as a lesbian for the first time.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
More celebs should follow her lead!!!!!!
If people of color saw more gay and lesbian examples in the media – yes, Queen Latifah, we’re talking to you – then maybe the black vote would not have been 70% in favor of banning gay marriage.
