If you’ve been blaming Beyonce all along, you’d be wrong!
The temporary power outage at Super Bowl XLVII wasn’t caused by Bey’s spectacular halftime show├óΓé¼┬ª it was all a faulty electrical relay device!
For those of you who aren’t electricians, the relay is a device that is installed to protect the Superdome from a cable failure between the energy company’s incoming power line and lines that run into the stadium.
Basically it’s an important electro-dohickey. LOLz!
What’s funny is the device was working fine for January’s Sugar Bowl and other events.
The device has obviously been swapped out.
People were worried that because of the blackout, New Orleans might not get another chance to host another Super Bowl.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said that wouldn’t factor into any future decisions.
New Orleans still plans to bid for the NFL’s 2018 championship game.
We’re just glad it wasn’t Beyonce!
