Poor little Knut the deceased polar bear.
He stole the hearts of the German people and anyone anywhere who saw the cute pics of the little guy.
Sadly, Knut died after a mysterious seizure caused him to drown in his enclosure.
We previously mentioned that zookeepers were planning on stuffing the little guy!
Apparently, that’s all true! Knut is now immortalized in a full-sized plastic sculpture of him, covered in his real fur!
Berlin’s natural history museum’s spokesperson said:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós important to make clear we haven├óΓé¼Γäót had Knut stuffed. Rather, this is a plastic form, true to the original and covered with Knut├óΓé¼Γäós very own fur.”
Still├óΓé¼┬ª it’s his real fur!
PETA was obviously upset by the move, saying:
“PETA isn├óΓé¼Γäót surprised that the Berlin Zoo is tastelessly making a statue out of Knut├óΓé¼Γäós pelt for their own benefit├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥the same zoo that ignored PETA├óΓé¼Γäós numerous pleas to move Knut to a new location when he was under constant stress and being terrorized by his three female companions. If anything, we hope that the statue will remind the public of Knut├óΓé¼Γäós premature death and the cruel and unnatural lives that animals in zoos are forced to endure.”
We just think they should’ve let the little guy be.
They already made millions off him when he was alive, now they’re using parts of his dead body for an exhibit!
So sad.
