Oh no! This is so sad!
There have recently been rumors swirling about Angie Everhart‘s health, and now the supermodel has confirmed that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
A statement released by her rep says:
“Word has been trickling out about supermodel/actress Angie Everhart├óΓé¼Γäós health. She wants to set the record straight by letting everyone know that it is true that she has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, however, the prognosis is very good.”
The rep goes on to say:
“She will undergo surgery tomorrow (Tuesday, May 14) and expects to be back to work and to mommy duties in a few weeks. The most important reason she is revealing this information is to encourage people to learn about cancer prevention, its signs and treatment immediately.”
It sounds like she’s taking the difficult news head on with a positive outlook, and hopefully that attitude will help her stay strong as she battles the disease.
We’re happy to hear she’s keeping her head held high and we send all of our thoughts and support to Angie and her family at this tough time.
