Michael Douglas Says Oral Sex Did NOT Lead To His Cancer!

It looks like the silver-tongued Michael Douglas is backtracking a little bit on some cunnilingus-related comments he recently made!
The Candelabra created a bit of stir when he revealed that his throat cancer was caused by oral sex! But now he’s trying to clear the air and says the whole thing was a misunderstanding!
Michael’s rep released a statement saying:

“Michael Douglas did not say cunnilingus was the cause of his cancer. It was discussed that oral sex is a suspected cause of certain oral cancers as doctors in the article point out, but he did not say it was the specific cause of his personal cancer.”

Ok, so he didn’t say it caused HIS cancer, but he certainly seemed to be implying it!
Michael has also spoken out about his slip of the tongue, saying:

“In the last 24 hours I have become the poster boy for oral cancer. And just so we all understand, I think we would all love to know where our cancer comes from. I simply told a reporter … a virus that can cause oral cancers, and is one of the few areas of cancers that can be controlled, and there are vaccinations that kids can get. So that was my attempt.”

Oh, Michael! You would think after all of these years in show biz he would know to be a little more careful about what comes out of his mouth!
At the end of the day, the only detail that’s REALLY important is that the actor made a full recovery and is healthy!
