Aurora Massacre Suspect James Holmes' Insanity Plea Accepted By Judge

james holmes colorado shooting plea insanity
Just as we predicted, a judge has accepted James Holmes plea of not guilty by reason of insanity.
After being accused of killing 12 people and injuring 70 in a mass shooting at an Aurora, CO during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises, the suspect could now escape charges of multiple counts of murder and attempted murder that could lead to the death penalty.
The insanity plea ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥which may take doctors months to thoroughly evaluate├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ is James’ best chance at avoiding execution, while his lawyers continue to argue that the insanity plea paired with the death penalty is ultimately unconstitutional.
If the accused is in fact deemed not guilty by reason of insanity, it would mean he would be committed to the state mental hospital, but it would also mean he would have the chance to walk free again if doctors somehow believe his sanity restored!
However, if jurors do in fact convict him, then the penalty phase will determine whether James should be executed or sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole.
Hopefully, the evaluation process will be speedy so the families of those slain can FINALLY get justice for the atrocious tragedy of late last summer.
What outcome do YOU think would properly serve justice??!
