Former Journey singer Steve Perry has revealed some shocking information: he’s recovering from treatment for melanoma.
The 64 year-old rocker announced his diagnosis on his personal blog, and says he believes the doctors successfully removed all of the cancer:
“Three weeks ago a routine mole was taken off my face and the lab report came back Melanoma skin cancer. I’ve had two surgeries in two weeks to remove all the cancer cells and I’ve been told they think they got it all and no other treatments are required.”
Before he dropped the big news, Steve talked a little bit about his short relationship with his girlfriend Kellie Nash who lost her life to cancer last December.
Now he’s found himself in a similar situation, but it sounds like there’s a very good chance he’ll make a full recovery.
Steve promises to share more with his fans in the upcoming days and hopefully there will be nothing but good news.
