Celebrities are known to give their babies some very interesting names, so when we heard Kim Kardashian and Kanye West decided to name their baby North, we weren’t too surprised!
Ok, so maybe we were a little surprised, but the real thing that had us scratching our heads was how they came up with their daughter’s name.
Luckily, Kris Jenner is on hand to give us a little insight! In a recent interview, the grandmomager opened up on the inspiration behind Nori’s name, saying:
“Kim sort of explained it to me. She said North is the highest power. And their baby North, their little girl, is the highest point and power between the two of them. So I thought that was really cool.”
Well, there goes our theory that Nori just had an awesome sense of direction! LOLz!
She gave a similar explanation on The View pretty recently, but we still have to wonder who came up with the brilliant idea?? Kris went on to say she stayed out of the naming process and left the whole thing up to Kim and Kanye:
“I think it was a joint decision. That’s what I think. They did it together.”
We definitely would have thought Yeezy would be behind the K-less name, but if it was up to him he probably would have just gone with Yeezus Jr.! Ha!
All joking aside, we’re glad the mysteries to Nori’s name are finally being revealed! Now if we can just get a look at the little bundle of joy, we’ll be good to go!
