At Kansas City International Airport (KCI), radar controllers were actually forced to evacuate due to a spider infestation!!
An employee was bitten, the third employee in a few weeks, and it caused enough of a panic to force the evacuation of the building.
During the evac, as many as five flights were delayed up to 15 minutes.
Exterminators were called in, and they discovered a nest egg underneath the radar controllers’ desks.
They believe the bites were from a mama spider who was protecting her babies. We can understand that instinct but that doesn’t make it any less terrifying!!
Check out the video (above) to learn a little more about how some tiny spiders scared a whole building of people!
