Oldest Fish In Captivity Turns 80! Happy Birthday!!

At Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Granddad the lungfish just celebrated a real milestone birthday!

He turned 80! That’s right, he’s an 80-year-old fish!

Granddad is 20-pounds and four-feet-long!

He arrived at Shedd during the 1933 World’s Fair and what’s crazy is he was already fully grown when he arrived at the aquarium!

So he’s actually older than 80! They’re just celebrating his anniversary!

That’s so crazy, we had no idea a fish could grow so old!

Cheers to you, Granddad (who’s name is awkwardly perfect), may you live another 20 years!
