A woman in Michigan is feeling the heat right now, because of her poor poor decision to dress as a Boston Marathon victim for Halloween.
Not only was it in bad taste, but she posted a picture of it because she thought it was hilarious! Now, she’s lost her job and is enduring the outrage of a world offended by such sensitivity — but the death threats she’s getting go little too far!
What kind of woman would be so insensitive? If you guessed:
“The same kind of woman who would have previously posted a picture of her drivers license, which showed her full name and address.”
You are correct!
Alicia Ann Lynch, 22, posted a pic of herself wearing her ‘Halloween costume’ on her Twitter account, and that backlash was swift and harsh, and people instantly found her full name and address — but just like Alicia, we think some of those outraged went TOO far with it.
We’re talking death threats, here, which is way over the line!
Some internet users even found her parents and began harassing them!
This prompted an apology from Alicia’s twitter account, among a deletion. She re-started it to apologize once again, as the death threats and threats of rape had not ceased.
Was Alicia wrong in her costume choice? Did she deserve some backlash?
Yes.
Did she deserve death and rape threats??
NO. Nobody EVER deserves anything like that!
It stoops to her level, and some even might think it blows right past it. It doesn’t help the cause, and you aren’t tough for doing it. Nobody scarred by that day wants to be represented by that mentality!
You don’t have to forgive her, but you don’t have to be awful about it!
