Jon Gosselin: Reality Show Gave My Kids Developmental Problems! Kate Gosselin: NOPE!

Woooooow, Jon Gosselin! Really?
You’re really going to claim that your kids have developmental problems AND you’re going to blame it on the show├óΓé¼┬ª in PUBLIC?? If Kate has anything to say about the children, we bet she’ll refute that!
Oh wait, she did!
In his Nov. 3 interview with Oprah, he opened up BIG TIME about how he thought putting his kids on a reality show damaged their growth. He said:

“It just became stressful on the kids and stressful on me. You’re trying to keep your marriage together, and you’re trying to keep your family ties together. I saw my kids not growing up normally, like I grew up, and having community.
“Yes, they got to travel the world, and yes, they got these fabulous things, and yes, they have trust funds, and they’re taken care of educationally. Great. But developmentally, they have problems with their peers, and they have problems with talking to other people, and they have problems with wants and needs and manners and morals and what’s right and what’s wrong. I think more so than someone who grows up off TV.”

We understand that it was hard on everyone, but to call these developmental issues? If they ARE as serious as that, why would you use a public forum to talk about it??
Kate would like to disagree, too:

“I find it very heartbreaking that my children’s father chooses a public forum to discuss his current opinions of the ‘development’ of our children.
“Because he has spoken negatively about our children, I feel I owe it to them to respond on their behalf. Each and every one of our children has met and continues to exceed all physical, mental, and emotional developmental milestones throughout their lives. Their normal development is regularly monitored by myself, their pediatrician, and school staff, as is usual within any family.”

Then, she hits it home:

“[It’s] very normal in a family, especially a large family, to have a full range of personalities, abilities, talents, hobbies, and struggles. However, anyone who has personally met our children all have the same thing to say: They are the most normal, pleasant, polite, loving and well adjusted children they have ever met. Most even go on to say that they are a ‘a delight’ to be around.”

She even points out what could come of Jon’s opinion:

“If our children ever stumble upon that interview, I want to be able to point them to this statement so that they know that I publicly set the record 100% straight on this one, for their sake.”

Imagine how you’d feel if your father was judging you from a distance, as Jon is from his rural home in Pennsylvania where he works as a waiter to survive (there is nothing wrong with where he is, or what he does — he’s just removed!). It just doesn’t seem all the way right for him to make those judgment calls from so far away!
And to hold that opinion in public? To Oprah??
Talk about the effect TV life has had on their lives!!
P.S. — If U haven’t heard Kate say that she PITIES Jon yet, check that out HERE!
