Still Losing Her Home

As we mentioned last month, Fastasia Barrino is facing some serious money issues.

The former American Idol winner’s North Carolina home has been seized and will be going up for sale at auction soon.

Now, reports reveal that her $1.3 million home will definitely be up for auction this coming Monday.

And as for Fantasia, she’s apparently ignoring the legal threat.

It all seems to have started when she borrowed $65k back in 2006 from a Florida credit card company to pay back taxes to the IRS. The following year she paid back the company $10k but never paid the rest. So the company won the right in court last month to auction off her house for the balance.

And it seems over the past year she hasn’t even responded to any court documents and no lawyer ever appeared in court to represent her. It wasn’t until last month – when she was threatened with losing her home – that a rep finally got in contact with the lawyers for the credit company.

Fantasia’s attorney yesterday declined to comment. And her agent referred all questions to her publicist but couldn’t provide contact information for that person.

And this isn’t the first time she’s had problems with money and losing her property. Back in 2005 she almost lost another home she owns in NC along with her over $200,000 Mercedes. And last year she failed to pay the $187,000 she borrowed to buy her Mercedes so she was sued by the car dealership but it was eventually resolved.

Time to get a GOOD accountant to pay your bills on time, honey!

And maybe a job to make some money.
