If canyons are known for anything, it’s their large amounts of SHADE!!!
Lindsay Lohan got called out for ruining the movie The Canyons by an unlikely source: the writer!
Needless to say, his comments might forever echo in Lindsay’s mind, and just like our body after spending an afternoon in a chasm, they’re full of burns.
Bret Easton Ellis recently talked about how LiLo was to blame for the flick’s underwhelming box office performance on his podcast, saying:
“I think where we went wrong was with the casting of Lindsay Lohan. Now I don├óΓé¼Γäót mean she wasn├óΓé¼Γäót good in it, she was very good in the movie. I mean that suddenly The Canyons has become the Lindsay Lohan film…Lindsay├óΓé¼Γäós reputation follows her everywhere. And the moment that we cast Lindsay Lohan, the movie became something else. It stopped becoming the DIY movie that could make it into part of the trainwreck of the Lindsay Lohan narrative. And we thought the movie was ultimately going to step out of that shadow, that it was going to speak for itself and that people would be more interested in how we made this movie├óΓé¼┬ª But we didn├óΓé¼Γäót. We didn├óΓé¼Γäót step out of the Lindsay Lohan shadow, and it did affect the way the movie was perceived.”
We think that Lindsay’s narrative is more of a recovery story now, as opposed to a trainwreck like Bret said!
Hopefully, Bret’s remarks won’t erode Lindsay’s self-confidence! Gurl is doing so well!
