This is getting ugly!
The network that airs Duck Dynasty is reportedly receiving death threats after suspending the show’s star Phil Robertson!
A&E headquarters has also received several suspicious packages from people angered over this decision!
The patriarch got himself into hot water this week after comments he made to GQ were released in which he stated homosexuality was a sin.
After A&E went public with Phil’s removal, fans of the show rallied behind him and organized a petition to get him back on the series. The family has also refused to film the show unless Phil is allowed to do it with them.
9 out of 10 episodes ordered for next season have already been shot and Phil appears in all of them. They are not scheduled to air until mid-January, which means A&E has plenty of time to try and sort this all out with the family.
But will this controversy help or hurt the reality series’ already record-breaking ratings?
