Liza Minnelli Offers To Give Matthew McConaughey Her Oscar If He Doesn't Win!

No matter what happens this awards season, Matthew McConaughey is definitely walking away with some sort of gold, pre-owned or otherwise!
Yesterday afternoon, Liza Minnelli hosted a luncheon thrown by Focus Features for the East Coast Academy members to celebrate the Oscar contender, Dallas Buyers Club.
Aside from complimenting Jared Leto‘s performance, and saying that Jennifer Garner (who was absent for the event) was “f*cking great,” Liza singled out Matthew for his exceptional work:

“You, crazy Matthew, losing all of that weight [pats her stomach] — it’s one thing to lose all of that weight and to look like that — that’s harrowing enough — but then to run like you did, with a body like that?…Honey, if you don’t win the Academy Award, I’m giving you mine!”

Wow, that is so kind of Liza!
Matthew was so AH-Mazing and inspired in Dallas Buyers Club, we wouldn’t be surprised if he took that little gold man home with him.
But at least now, thanks to Mizz Minnelli, he has some insurance: her Oscar from Cabaret!
