Lindsay Lohan‘s been frantic since tweeting her laptop computer was stolen on Tuesday at a Chinese airport…
But now, sources are revealing that those worrisome messages posted to Twitter (that have since been deleted) weren’t made by LiLo at all!
A friend close to Lindz explained the alleged thieves posted the messages to the social media site themselves to attract attention:
“It’s an extortion plot, plain and simple. They were able to access her computer immediately.”
The insider also added that the robbers have reportedly made contact with the 27-year-old actress demanding moolah in exchange for the laptop’s safe return!
Scary shizz!
The starlet’s management team has allegedly been trying to wipe the computer’s memory remotely – because naked photos and correspondence between Lindsay and Hollywood big shots are reportedly inside!
We hope this isn’t true, and the computer gets returned to its rightful owner ASAP!
