File this away with some of the most bizarre press conference moments!
After the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII, MVP Malcolm Smith was having a press conference, when he was rudely interrupted!
But we’re kind of glad he was because what happened was awesome!
Independent journalist Matthew Mills charged on stage, grabbed the mic and said his peace about 9/11 (above)!
But how did he get onto the stage?
Well, Mills got into the most secure sporting event by putting on some old festival credentials, hopping on an employee bus at Secaucus Junction, and told security:
“I just said I was running late for work and I had to get in there. It was that simple. I didn’t think that I’d get that far. I just kept getting closer and closer. Once I got past the final gate and into the stadium, I was dumbfounded.”
What?! Calling into work to say you’re late isn’t even that easy!
Eventually, Mills was cuffed for trespassing, but he brought attention to a much bigger topic! No, not the 9/11 conspiracy! He let everyone see firsthand that even the safest of places is not entirely secure.
Scary, huh?
