Lupita Nyong’o is living every artist’s dream – and she’s devoted to remaining humble!
The 12 Years a Slave starlet is hoping to maintain her title as the most likable star ever by confessing that she’s still baffled by being recognized in public:
“I’ve been in a bubble. I haven’t been out much. I haven’t gotten used to being recognized. I was blissfully ignorant of the magnitude of the project I was in or what it was going to mean for the world.”
…And we’re not just talking about normal street folk!
The paparazzi have taken note of Lupita’s Oscar-nominated fame, forcibly following her every move:
“I don’t know who they were waiting for, but they definitely chased me down, which is a startling, disturbing experience. I did not expect it. I went into flight mode.”
And although all this added attention is a bit nerve-racking, the emerging fashion queen knows how fortunate her situation is:
“Stressed but blessed├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I mean, I couldn’t have dreamed this up. There are so many highlights that are no longer highlights. I’m living a very swollen life.”
