This is awkward.
Dylan Farrow called out a slew of celebs when she wrote an open letter accusing Woody Allen of molestation.
And while Cate Blanchett addressed the matter early on, Scarlett Johansson is now taking on the matter, but her statement might not be what you expect.
In fact, Scarlett does not think her name, or the names of other celebs who’ve worked with and supported Woody, should have been brought up:
“I think it├óΓé¼Γäós irresponsible to take a bunch of actors that will have a Google alert on and to suddenly throw their name into a situation that none of us could possibly knowingly comment on. That just feels irresponsible to me.”
But that’s not all she had to say on the matter!
She also commented on what this might do to his career├óΓé¼┬ªor in her opinion, what it won’t do to his career:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóm unaware that there├óΓé¼Γäós been a backlash. I think he├óΓé¼Γäóll continue to know what he knows about the situation, and I├óΓé¼Γäóm sure the other people involved have their own experience with it. It├óΓé¼Γäós not like this is somebody that├óΓé¼Γäós been prosecuted and found guilty of something, and you can then go, ├óΓé¼╦£I don├óΓé¼Γäót support this lifestyle or whatever.├óΓé¼Γäó I mean, it├óΓé¼Γäós all guesswork ├óΓé¼┬ª I don├óΓé¼Γäót know anything about it. It would be ridiculous for me to make any kind of assumption one way or the other.”
This seems like a pretty strong statement for someone who wants to stay out of it!
We wonder if she’ll be getting a response from Dylan or anyone else involved.
