Some say a parent will do anything for their children, and this mother epitomizes that COMPLETELY!
A momma from Lawrence, Mass. saved the lives of her two young girls by using herself as a “speed bump.”
The incident happened on March 6th when the 22-year-old mother got out of her car, which had her twin 2-year-old girls buckled in the back, and soon realized that the car was suddenly rolling down a steep hill!
That’s when Mindy Tran, with no hesitation, threw herself in front of the car! The heroic action slowed the car down just enough for one of Mindy’s neighbors to rescue the two little girls in back.
Holy crap!! Here’s what Mindy said about the incident:
“I had to use myself as a speed bump to slow it down enough for one of my neighbors to get in and completely stop the car. My daughters are my everything and I don’t want to see my daughters in the hospital, and I knew at that time it was either mine or theirs.”
Mindy suffered a broken leg, a dislocated shoulder, and a dislocated hip, but despite all of that – she’s just happy that her children are safe.
She said:
“It was all for my kids. I’m just glad my kids are fine.”
Although she’s been in and out of surgery, and is currently only able to use a wheelchair, Mindy seems sure that she’ll be able to walk again!
Considering that she knowingly threw herself under a car, albeit for her children, and survived — it would be pretty unwise of us to question her!
Bravo, lady! We just hope you learned to not get out of your car if your kids are in the back — or at least use the emergency break!!
