Excuse us, we just Lost our minds with this potential news!
In a recent interview, one of the EPs of Lost, Carlton Cuse, gave some pretty beguiling news:
“I think it├óΓé¼Γäós likely that at some point, ABC will want to reboot Lost because it├óΓé¼Γäós a valuable franchise, and there will be some young, bright writer or writers who will come up with a great idea that the network responds to, and that├óΓé¼Γäóll be great. I do not begrudge ABC the opportunity to do something more with the franchise. But we told the story we wanted to tell, and I think there├óΓé¼Γäós kind of a wonderful sense of closure for us. I feel like there├óΓé¼Γäós not a moment where I certainly say, ‘Oh, hey, I wish we had told this story’ or ‘I regret that we didn├óΓé¼Γäót get to do this or that.’ I feel like we had ample opportunity to tell all the stories that we wanted to tell.”
Okay, so to recap, because the above statement is a little enigmatic (just like Lost): a Lost reboot is “likely,” but not definite, and judging by what Carlton said, it will probably not involve the original creators.
Well, this is a twist we didn’t expect, but we’re just grateful for the possibility of a Lost reboot!
