Woman Drives Into A Truck & Dies Because She Was Updating Her Facebook Status About How Happy Pharrell's Happy Makes Her!

Ugh! This is too heartbreaking!
As Courtney Sanford was simultaneously driving to work last week and typing on her smartphone, the 32-year-old North Carolinian swerved into oncoming traffic, crossed over a median, hit a truck head-on, and was killed.
It’s a tragic story, if not an altogether uncommon one. What makes Courtney’s case perhaps more gut-wrenching than most is that she had just finished updating her Facebook status about how happy Pharrell‘s Happy makes her!!
One minute before the cops were called she posted this message, horrifying in hindsight, on the social media site:

Ugh!
High Point PD’s Lt. Chris Weisner spoke about the tragedy. He said:

├óΓé¼┼ôThe Facebook text happened at 8:33 a.m. We got the call on the wreck at 8:34 a.m…. In a matter of seconds, a life was over just so she could notify some friends that she was happy… As sad as it is, it is a grim reminder for everyone├óΓé¼┬ª you just have to pay attention while you are in the car.”

That’s so very unfortunate!!!
By now most have heard about the dangers of texting and driving, but unfortunately that doesn’t stop enough people from risking their lives and the lives of others.
