We’re so glad that no kids got hurt after this horrifying scene!
A 14-year-old boy stole his grandfather’s car and went joyriding around Syracuse, Utah. The cops got a call about a stolen vehicle, and they tracked this teen down and before long were in a high-speed pursuit!
The underage driver sped THROUGH A PLAYGROUND full of kids too!
A witness captured some dramatic video that shows parents and children running for safety as the white Hyundai recklessly races right through the park, jumping curbs and beelining across a field!
Thankfully, a man with a large truck was nearby and decided to sacrifice his vehicle and his safety in order to protect the kids!
Bryson Rowley used his pickup as a ram rod, intentionally running into the teenage driver and stopping the runaway car!
HERO.
Officer Erin Behm of the Syracuse Police Department described the brave move Bryson made, saying:
“The person driving the truck could see it was turning back into the park, and he did not want the car to hit all of the children, or any of the children, and he actually pulled his truck in the way so the car collided with the truck.├óΓé¼┬¥
Bryson’s wife Brandy Rowley also spoke about her husband’s actions, admitting:
“My heart dropped. I honestly thought one of those kids is going to die.├óΓé¼┬¥
Thanks to your husband though, none of them did!
The troubled teen driver was taken to a juvenile detention center.
