It was the case of the bad babysitter.
Good thing they had this four-year-old on the case!
Somewhere in the state of Washington a seriously bad teenaged babysitter plotted a fake home invasion where her boyfriend and one of his friends came into four-year-old Abby‘s house while her parents were away and took stuff from the house including a couple of video game systems, laptops, Abby’s iPod, and her piggy bank.
The 17-year-old babysitter then called the police and “told” them what happened, and even tried to pin it on one of Abby’s neighbors.
However when police arrived and arrested Abby’s black neighbor – the little girl spoke up and told police how the man they had just arrested was not the culprit. She told police:
“It wasn├óΓé¼Γäót the right skin color.├óΓé¼┬¥
But that’s not all she said! But we’ll let her explain it! She said:
“Wednesday was the worst day in my life. They told us to get out of the house ’cause they wanted to steal stuff. I think about…that was really her being bad. She’s not a good babysitter. The bad guys stole my kitty bank, they stole my iPod, they also stole my XBox and my Wii. They got it back because of me being a superhero.”
A truer statement has never been said!
Once Abby explained that it wasn’t the neighbor, the Whatcom County police were able to break the 17-year-old babysitter pretty quickly and she ended up explaining everything!
All thanks to one super smart four-year-old! Her proud mother said:
“Literally in 30 seconds, she changed everything that had been going on for five, six hours.”
Ah-mazing!
