Tim McGraw Speaks Out After His Concert Slap: It Was 'Instinctive' & 'Defensive'

We’re still not sure how to feel about Tim McGraw‘s slap.
Although police have stated that Tim’s strike against a rowdy fan was justified since she seemed to be trying to grab his crotch, the whole event has left us feeling a little icky!
Also feeling not so hot about this event? Tim himself.
In a recent interview, he finally spoke out about his smack attack!
Here’s Tim’s response:

“Sometimes things can lose context and perspective. I reacted in an instinctive, defensive way from my perspective of what was going on. I think it was an unfortunate situation, I think all the way around…But it happened, it happened in a split second, it was pure instinctive reaction, I think you just got to move on. It is one of those things that happen, nobody feels good about it, but there’s nothing that could be done about it. You are in that position, you are out there, you are vulnerable, things happen and sometimes you react. There’s nothing to be said about it.”

We imagine there comes a feeling of immense vulnerability when you’re surrounded by hundreds of crazed fans who want nothing more to rip off your clothes.
Apparently, the woman in question hasn’t gone to police, and until she does with a complaint, Tim’s in the clear.
We’ll see what happens if she does decide to pursue anything legally against Tim.
