Robin Williams was a huge animal lover. If we find any more reasons to love this guy we’ll never stop crying.
We’re trying to ease the pain by celebrating his life and all the wonderful things about him that make him so… well, wonderful!
Like his love of animals!
Robin was a huge fan of animals, so much that the San Francisco Zoo totally named a monkey after him!!
They were obviously super sad about losing him, so they released a statement:

“The San Francisco Zoological Society is deeply saddened by the news of Robin Williams’ death today. Mr. Williams was a long time supporter of the Zoo and a dedicated conservation spokesperson. Mr. Williams was last at the Zoo on June 6, where he visited his namesake Howler monkey ‘Robin.'”

They then shared a pic (above) of the two Robins.
One of Robin’s last public appearances was actually at the SF Zoo, meeting the monkey with his moniker!
So adorable!
We know that Robin will live on in his movies but also in his monkey!
