Dora the Explorer is growing up… and going live-action in the trailer for her fun upcoming family-friendly movie!
The exciting, brand new trailer for Dora And The Lost City of Gold debuted on YouTube and across social media on Saturday evening, and now that we’ve gotten a look at the family-fun, adventure-filled teaser for the upcoming live-action film, we’re seriously loving it! So spicy!!!

The movie — starring Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, and Danny Trejo — will hit theaters on August 2nd, but if you can’t wait until summer, ch-ch-check out the fun trailer in full (above)!!! There’s enough star power here to make things interesting and fun, plus a GREAT casting choice for Dora… so much energy and excitement!
The famous and ever-popular cartoon gets updated and modernized with this live-action look, and we have to say… the idea that Dora leaves the jungle and heads to high school is a fun one! So many directions to go with this movie, we can’t wait to see where it heads when it comes out, and we can sit down and see the whole thing!
Not surprisingly, after being first released on Saturday evening across the internet and all social platforms, the trailer quickly trended across both Twitter and YouTube. There’s no question there’s a HUGE audience to see a live-action Dora flick… and soon enough, the film will get its day at the box office to prove that popularity once and for all!
