Chris Brown is in criminal trouble again, but this charge is definitely a new one — even for him.
The 29-year-old star is now facing two counts of possession of a restricted primate without a permit, brought by the Los Angeles City Attorney this week after an investigation into Breezy buying a Capuchin monkey last year.

According to TMZ, Brown will be arraigned on the charges on February 6 — and no joke, he could face as much as six months behind bars for making the monkey a pet.
This all goes back to the last holiday season when somebody tipped off authorities after seeing the monkey make an appearance on a social media video with his daughter Royalty, leading to an investigation. California wildlife officials later seized the monkey from Brown’s home after determining he never had a permit to keep or house it.
And now, the controversy is winding its way through the court system, with CB potentially facing some serious consequences for it… WOW!
