According to a source, Nicky Hilton is officially engaged to her boyfriend James Rothschild! He liked it and he put a ring on it:
“They are both really excited and incredibly happy.”
Apparently, Nicky and James just respectively became fiancée and fiancé last weekend in Lake Como, Italy.
If you think that’s romantic, prepare to have your heart melt! Lake Como is actually where the two met, as the started dating after both attending supermodel Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt‘s wedding.
According to the source, James pulled out all the stops when it came to getting on bended knee during their recent anniversary trip back to Italy:
“They went on a romantic anniversary trip over the weekend. He took her out on a boat into the middle of Lake Como and he proposed, got down on one knee and everything. It was incredibly romantic and beautiful.”
Not only that, but according to the source, James was a straight up gentleman when it came to preparing for his proposal, as he made a trip to her parents’ house to get their blessing:
“Last month, he actually flew from England (where he is based) to the States to ask her parents for her hand in marriage!”
Who says chivalry is dead?! Because James just officially proved it’s alive and well for this banker!
Well, we’re happy that now that he’s popped the question, the two can pop some champagne and celebrate! In fact, the source adds that they’re doing a bit of traveling to celebrate the good news:
