Super Troopers 2 Is Happening! And It's Going To Be Thanks To Kickstarter!

Super Troopers is one of the biggest cult comedy hits of all time, and it looks like over 13 years later we might FINALLY be getting a sequel!
Director and co-star Jay Chandrasekhar recently did a Reddit AMA to promote his new Amazon pilot Really, but the biggest thing on fans’ minds was the question of revisiting the mischievous cops.
Jay was incredibly candid as he gave all the fans of cheeky and fun shenanigans hope, saying:

“Super Troopers 2 is looking very likely. We’ll have an update in a couple of months.”

But he also had a little bit of info available immediately, and that’s that Broken Lizard will be going the way of Veronica Mars and crowdsourcing the sequel. He said:

“Super Troopers 2 is going to do a Kickstarter…
We want to make Super Troopers 2 next and Fox want us to raise not only all the money to make it, but also all the money to release it”

Rewards will include mustache rides, bulletproof thongs, and a Super Troopers clock that will tell you what time it is right meow.
OK, not really. But Jay did reveal at least one of the prizes in advance, and it’s AMAZING! He said:

“One of the Kickstarter prizes is going to be us coming to town, doing a show and having a private party screening with the donors.”

We are freaking out, man!
