Dave Benton is a TV news anchor in Illinois and he’s been fighting brain cancer.
Sadly, his doctors told him his brain tumor had grown too large for radiation or surgery: He only has months left to live.
So during a newscast, he broke the news to the viewers he had been with for years, saying he’s staying strong and even trying a new treatment.
The treatment isn’t about trying to save his life but just about giving him “a few more days and [making] them the best they can be.”
What’s incredible is his outlook! He isn’t just strong for himself, he’s being strong for everyone around him.
He even wants to continue to do good work while he’s still around! He’s still thinking about others. What an inspirational, selfless man.
