Sorry 5SOSFam, it doesn’t seem like 5 Seconds Of Summer will be traveling to see you all anytime soon.
We’re sure their fans are disappointed, but there’s not really anything you can do about a medical emergency like this!

The Australian band revealed they won’t be going anywhere until further notice because drummer Ashton Irwin is in the hospital for appendicitis!
How scary!
The guys broke the bad news to their fans via Twitter with this message:
Bad news.. Ash isn’t well & is in hospital w appendicitis, so we wont be able to travel to the UK for the @BBCR1 Teen Awards this weekend 🙁

Five Sauce explained the whole situation in detail on their website and what this means for their traveling plans:
Hi guys, we have some news for you today. Ashton has come down with a case of appendicitis and had to have an operation. He’s doing great and will be back up & running in no time, but he’ll need to rest up for the next week or so├óΓé¼┬ª Unfortunately this means that we’ll no longer be able to fly back to the UK this weekend for the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards. We will also be postponing next week’s trip to Japan (more info to come soon).
We are so sorry to everyone that had planned on seeing us. We were so excited to come see you all and we never want to make any of you sad… We hope you understand!
Thanks so much for supporting all we do, we love you. Can’t wait for us four lads to get back on the road (minus one band appendix) and rock out with you all again soon!

While appendicitis is a pretty scary thing to have happen, it’s treatable, so don’t worry too much!
Ashton will be back to his normal self before you all know it!
