Ahhh, it can’t be easy right now to be Teresa Giudice.
She’s currently staring down a 15-month jail sentence for fraud, set to start at the beginning of 2015, but she’s still fighting to ease that load.
We now hear Tre has sent the judge a letter, asking for mercy. Instead of serving her whole jail sentence, she wants to serve most (12 out of 15 months) of her sentence in a halfway house. And she claims her argument for the new punishment is backed by the Second Chance Act.

However, nothing comes easy to the Real Housewives of New Jersey ball buster anymore because prosecutors are said to be completely against this, and they won’t give in.
They believe the judge made it clear that she needed a prison punishment for her crimes, and nothing less. And as far as the law she claims has her back, prosecutors argue that it doesn’t give convicts the right to have their punishments lessened.
So it looks like Tre will have to learn how to make prison meatballs. Yum!
