Well here’s yet another good reason you should NEVER leave your dog unattended in a car!!
An Australian woman has been making headlines today after she was awarded $143,590 by Victoria’s Transportation Accident Commission (TAC) for an incident that took place almost 10 years ago!
However, the large wad of cash the woman received is NOT what’s catching people’s attention! It’s the fact that she was injured when she was run over BY HER DOG!
That’s right! Back in 2005, the woman was loading her two pups into her car and made sure the engine was already running so she could run the air conditioning!
However, as she began to make her way around the car to the driver’s seat, one of her dogs bumped into the emergency break and the vehicle started to move while she was still caught in the door!

The woman, who was in her 60’s at the time, was dragged for a while until she eventually hit the ground and was run over by the vehicle, and while it might sound like the plot of a Bugs Bunny cartoon, her injuries were NO joke!
Aside from tons of scrapes and bruises, the woman also suffered injuries to her hip which required multiple surgeries, had both shoulders replaced, and also had issues with her back and neck!
Luckily, the woman will not require ANY further surgeries and received FULL compensation for her medical bills thanks to the TAC’s no “fault compensation payments!”
We’re also gonna go out on a limb here and say her dogs have probably been banned from riding in the car, too! LOLz!
