Beyoncé & Jay Z Bundle Up For Hov's Birthday In Iceland, But Why Was Bey So Sad?

Aww! What a bittersweet trip.
Beyonc├â┬⌐ and Jay Z celebrated the rapper’s birthday in Iceland, at Reykjav├â┬¡k’s Trophy Lodge resort, but it wasn’t all fun and games.
Juliana Oharah, the niece of the helicopter pilot the couple hired, gave all kinds of inside details about Bey’s & Jay’s stay, saying:

“Beyonc├â┬⌐ was upset. Jay told her she should console [Kelly] and forget his party.”

Of course, Jay was talking about Kelly Rowland, who unexpectedly lost her mother last week. But Bey decided to stay with her man for the big 4-5, and they took in the sights. First, they visited the Blue Lagoon spa and Eyjafjallaj├â┬╢kull volcano, and saw some sights from the helicopter throughout the rest of the week. After they’d had a few days to themselves, Blue Ivy, along with their other A-list friends, poured into the hotel on December 4th, Jay’s actual b-day.

The couple threw a party at the hotel, where they danced together to Al Green‘s Let’s Stay Together. But the party didn’t last for long because by Friday, it was back to California for the family.
Hopefully some time relaxing helped Bey cheer up a bit, and maybe even brought her and Jay Z closer together!
