Russia had a pretty good night at the 2015 Golden Globes!
That’s because Andrey Zvyagintsev‘s Leviathan won the award for Best Foreign Language Film!
But this isn’t the first major award for movie; it actually won Best Screenplay at Cannes in 2014, too.
To win, Leviathan and Andrey beat out Force Majeure by Ruben Östlund from Sweden, Gett: The Trial of Viviane Amsalem by Ronit & Shlomi Elkabetz from Israel, Ida by Paweł Pawlikowski from Poland & Denmark, and Tangerines by Zaza Urushadze from Estonia.
Congrats to all the movies nominated from around the world, but an even bigger congratulations to Leviathan!
