This is so heartwarming, and such a great tribute!
Last week, William Shatner asked fans and followers on Twitter to send him selfies of them doing the “Live Long And Prosper” mantra of Leonard Nimoy‘s Spock character, but Shatner never said what he was using them for…

But now Shatner’s final mission has been revealed, and it’s AH-mazing!
Shatner took the thousands of selfies he received and created an incredible tribute to his late costar.
Ch-ch-check out that tribute (below), but first, the original tweet that started it all:
I need everyone’s help. Take a selfie of you doing the LLAP sign and email the photo to [email protected] pic.twitter.com/b2gTMftn7J
— William Shatner (@WilliamShatner) August 1, 2015
That was dated August 1, and as to be expected, thousands of people emailed off selfies at Shatner’s request, just like these:
The Captain needs our help. Send your #LLAP selfie to the email in his tweet. https://t.co/c4rAoivhL2 @WilliamShatner pic.twitter.com/Gdjil7c2wr

Those two taken together with thousands of others produced something absolutely incredible (below):
Why did I ask for all those #LLAP selfies? For a @gishwhes task as a tribute to Leonard. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/3NQZ5siINe
