Blake Lively is stirring up controversy, and all thanks to her latest Instagram post.
Sharing a pic of her gorgeous gilded look from Cannes on Tuesday, the baby bumpin’ actress decided to jokingly caption it with a famous lyric from Sir Mix-A-Lot‘s hit Baby Got Back.

The side-by-side shot of the front and the back of her look was captioned with:
“L.A. face with an Oakland booty”
Not so surprisingly, many commenters were upset with the 28-year-old!
One IG user responded to her post with:
“Another day, another rich white woman using women of color’s bodies as a punchline and commodity- yet everyone defends her and calls it confidence. But hey who the f*ck am I to check her privilege! #WhiteGirlsDoItBest”
Some even tweeted, explaining their disappointment:
Another day, another rich white woman using WOC’s bodies as a punchline and commodity. As if Blake Lively wasn’t the worst already.

I want to follow Blake Lively just to unfollow after this LA/Oakland business. So much privilege even GOOP feels uncomfortable.

On the other side, there have been plenty of people backing Blake up! One Instagram user even commented in her defense, writing:
“Go, girl! ├░┼╕ΓÇÿ┬Å├░┼╕┬Å┬╜├░┼╕ΓÇÿ┬Å├░┼╕┬Å┬╜├░┼╕Γäó┼Æ├░┼╕┬Å┬╜├óΓäó┬Ñ├»┬╕┬Å Women of all shapes & ethnicities are beautiful, are curvy, have booties (believe it or not!)… & she is OWNING her beauty. –What’s not beautiful?… Being racist & using YOUR privilege to voice such hateful opinions… Heaven forbid people of all different races use rap lyrics on a damn picture. Oh no! The tragedy. If that’s what you get butt hurt over, woo… Wish my life was as uneventful as yours & I had as little to actually worry about. ├░┼╕Γäó┬Å├░┼╕┬Å┬╝ Go on, Blake.”
So, do U think she was being passively racist? Or did she do nothing wrong in quoting the lyric?? Let us know!
