If the jewelry Rihanna was wearing the night of the famed incident with Chris Brown is not needed as evidence, girl needs that bling back from the District Attorney – and pronto!
Four different jewelers are asking for the return of almost $1,000,000 in jewelry that was borrowed by Rihanna the night of Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Party, the same night that the singer was allegedly physically abused by Beat Her Down.
LAPD is currently holding the borrowed earrings and rings because they’re “not even sure what evidence is going to be entered into the case” against Chris Brown.
The only problem??
The jewelers are asking for $1.4 mil in late fees and damages from Rihanna if the jewels are not returned!!!
Said RiRi’s lawyer Donald Etra in a letter to the court, “Since there appears to be no evidentiary value to the continued holding of this jewelry… we respectfully [ask] the court to order the return of this property to [Rihanna] without further delay.”
“If the DA doesn’t need the items, and the LAPD doesn’t need the items, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be returned,” Etra has told reporters.
You’d think the jewelers would be a little more understanding????
