Fake news: so easy, even the most simple-minded racists can do it!
While the rest of America pleads for congress to take steps in preventing mentally unstable teenagers from buying assault rifles like they were fucking Nerf guns, trolls are trying to get Twitter to believe that “black thugs” are assaulting (white) theatergoers at Black Panther screenings throughout the country.
Thankfully, these fake claims are easy to spot because they are so stupidly crafted.

The trolls are using images of battered women as visuals to support their untrue claims — but with a little Google image searching, Twitectives are finding the images to be from old news stories completely unconnected to the acclaimed Marvel film.
Here are some (graphic) tweets that have already been debunked:

Oh, were you, Issa Bardier Watch? Because you look an awful lot like the domestic abuse victim pictured in this article from 2016 — CLICK HERE.
Here’s one from alt-right congressional hopeful Paul Nehlen (who is actually trying to defeat Paul Ryan in the Wisconsin primary):

This image, which Nehlen has unapologetically left on his page, is blatantly taken from a 2013 video made in Serbia that used special effects makeup to raise awareness about domestic abuse:
And, in case you’re not infuriated yet, here are a few more “beatings” proven to be fake newsies:
Fake posts are being created to make black people look bad and the sad part of it is some people will believe them #BlackPanther pic.twitter.com/XzNMoxFmWs

While this repulsive propaganda has mostly come by the way of the alt-right, it’s important to note that a few of these tweets have also come from users falsely claiming to be assaulted by MAGA supporters:

Smh…
If you come across an image you find sketchy, do a reverse image search to see where it came from. Other than that, all we can say is: everyone STFU and enjoy Black Panther.
