Albeit, not by much and in nowhere near the standings of animated flicks that have come before it.
The #1 spot at the box office this weekend was held by Disney’s The Princess and The Frog, which grossed $25 million in three days. It would be a fairly decent showing, if it weren’t a Disney film. Consider that Up made upwards of $68.1 million last May and some crappy rodent romp called G-Force made $31.7 million last July – it really doesn’t show that much enthusiasm for the new Princess.
Still, she beat out Hollywood’s princess, Sandra Bullock, who came in 2nd this week with The Blind Side as well as gave Clint Eastwood’s Oscar contender flick, Invictus, no room to budge ahead from his #3 standing.
There’s always next weekend Clint!
