Sad, but true.
Though previous reports made the anticipated sequel to Anchorman look very much like a reality, this morning the original director tweeted out the news that the studio passed on the project.
Director Adam McKay explained:
“So bummed. Paramount basically passed on Anchorman 2. Even after we cut our budget down. We tried.
To all who asked: no we can’t do Anchorman 2 at another studio. Paramount owns it.”
Boo! Not cool! Everyone was so jazzed for this!
What the hell else could you be working on Paramount that is more $$$ making important than this?!
Explanation, please?!
