Awww, poor dog!
Wally, as named by his rescuers, was found wedged between two cinder-block walls only inches apart after neighbors complained of excessive barking.
Riverside County Animal Services came to the dogs aid and with the help of the Coachella Valley Water District, a water-distribution agency whose wall cramped the canine, knocked a hole in one of the walls to reach the reddish-brown Shar-Pei mix.
A Riverside County Animal Services spokesman says it was likely the 4-year-old dog’s entrapment came because he was “chasing a cat or other critter”.
Wally is doing well at the county animal shelter in Thousand Palms, CA, but since he was not wearing any identification and has no license, Animal Services is waiting for an owner to claim him.
If no one comes, Wally will be put up for adoption, so we HOPE his owner is reading this right now and claims the poor pup before it’s too late!
