When it rains… just drink the water!
This is definitely in the creative category. Two CIID students, Hyeona Yang and Joshua Noble, have come up with a raincoat that serves many uses.
As Yang describes it:
├óΓé¼┼ôThe Raincatch is a proposal for a garment which is at once a coat and water gathering, purification, storage system that allows the wearer to take a drink whenever they’re thirsty. We worked with existing raincoats to reinforce the realism of the project but altered the look and feel of the coat enough that it has a distinct look and feel of it’s own.├óΓé¼┬¥
The collar of the coat collects the rain water which is then filtered down the back through charcoal filters and purified using a chemical process.
As for storage, the water is kept around the hips of the coat.
We love creative pieces.
Congrats on coming up with something different and interesting!
