A Star Is Born Remake With Russell Crowe & Beyonce?

Talk about awkward casting!

While on the promo tour for his new movie, Robin Hood, Russell Crowe wa asked about a rumor that he and Beyonce would be starring in a remake of the Barbara Streisand classic, A Star Is Born.

According to Russell, Beyonce has pulled out of the project, but Russell is still game! He explains:

“I think she’s pulled out. But I’m still chatting about it. It’s one of those movies that has been made a lot, but I think it’s still quite a big focus. You can see that in terms of the popularity of things like American Idol.”

Alright, well, if Beyonce is out, who is someone more awkward we can recast her with?

Um, how about Lea Michele? The mundo age difference should make it rather uncomfortable.

Or Mariah Carey? We bet Russell doesn’t sweat facing up against Nick Canon.

Nope, we’ve got it – Lindsay Lohan. Even if she did sober up for the occasion, the two hours of autotune and horrendous acting would be HIGHlarious!
