Day one begins…
As we reported, in May 2017, Abby Lee Miller was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison for bankruptcy fraud. In 2015, the Dance Moms star was accused of hiding $775,000 of income in a secret bank account while filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. She plead guilty to these charges during the summer of 2016.
On Wednesday, the reality TV personality officially reported to FCI Victorville prison in California to begin jail time.

Her lawyer Robert Ridge released the following statement:
“This is an extremely emotional day for Ms. Miller. Earlier today, Ms. Miller expressed to us that she is looking forward to starting the process of completing her obligations set by the Court. She has accepted that this matter will never truly be ‘behind her,’ but this chapter of the process has begun and there is now an end in sight.”
Earlier that day, the 50-year-old posted the now-deleted message on Instagram where she still refuses to take responsibility for her illegal actions:
“Today is going to be a tough day! Seems as though important facts were omitted from the case! Just wanted to let the world know – moms & girls all made money, Lots of money! Nobody was doing me a favor out of the kindness of their hearts!”
According to ET Online, Miller arrived at the facility at 12:05 p.m., nearly two hours before the deadline. According to sources, Lifetime was there to document her final moments of freedom.
