A Bachelor Spin-Off For Every Season -- ABC Green Lights The Bachelor Winter Games To Compete With The Olympics!

ABC might be reaching with this one.
Ahead of their upfront presentation on Tuesday, the Disney-owned TV network revealed that they’re launching yet another Bachelor spin-off. And while the new reality program is still slated to have a love component, the recently announced show is actually a winter-themed athletic competition.
According to ABC, The Bachelor Winter Games “will reunite the all-stars at a luxurious winter resort, where they will go head-to-head in winter-themed athletic challenges, including the toughest sport of all: love.”
OMG. STOP IT.

Also, does anyone else feel like the network totally stole this idea from MTV‘s The Challenge?? Hmmmmm.
Anywho, the spin-off is expected to drop in February as it will air opposite NBC‘s Winter Olympics coverage. We mean, that’s not a bad way to hijack viewers from NBC. Not to mention, both Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss and longtime producer Martin Hilton have signed on to executive produce the show — so we KNOW it’s going to be entertaining at least.
Still we have a feeling this spin-off could end in disaster, especially if past hyper-aggressive contestants *cough* Chad Johnson *cough* sign on for the series. We guess we’ll just have to tune in to see how it all plays out!
