You know you fucked up when Ben Wyatt has to get involved.
Piers Morgan loves to instigate drama on Twitter, and he’s feeling extra spicy this week firing off on critics of his op-ed on Emma Watson.

Over the weekend, the journalist called out the Beauty and the Beast star for posing in a topless photo after allegedly criticizing Beyoncé for doing the same thing.
On a roll from his anti-feminist witch hunt, Morgan continued to troll Twitter with unfunny patriarchal jokes — one of which caught the attention of Parks and Recreation writer Jen Statsky, who gloriously told the reporter to STFU:
MANchester will have to be renamed PERSONchester.
And feMALEs will have to be called fePERSONs.

Imagine being this sad but also this deeply unfunny. https://t.co/DtpDmTdYBG

Ha! Burrrrrnnnnn!
However, the 51-year-old Brit didn’t take the jab lightly, and proved Statsky’s point by tweeting a retort one could expect from the average internet troll. He responded:
You write for Parks & Recreation, so you already know. https://t.co/A44aLPB2d0

Whoa, whoa, whoa! Why you gotta bring Pawnee into this, Piers?
Thankfully, the City Manager himself — a.k.a. Adam Scott — came to the rescue with a burn that someone of Morgan’s caliber could appreciate, writing:
Wow, touché!
Would you like a writing job on my new show “Piers Morgan Eats Farts”? https://t.co/LNf1NQMGu9
— Adam Scott (@mradamscott) March 7, 2017
LOLz, did Andy Dwyer write that one for you, Adam?
Morgan got in the final word (since he fires off 5,000 tweets every hour), making it clear he wasn’t a fan of Scott’s American toilet humor:
Like I said, you guys just aren’t funny. https://t.co/pjCG7hRij1

Ouch. Now if only Leslie Knope had Twitter, we’re sure she’d have a few choice words for the cranky journalist.
